HEAR FROM THE JURY: ‘This Is a Very Daunting Tactic’ -Dirty Stinks The Litter

After consultations with school administrators, board of education officials, and parents, Peel Region (shown here) is recommending that parents of students from the North York community be alerted to COVID-19.

The decision was part of an enforcement update for COVID-19, a three-year legal agreement with the federal government, which sets the schedule of detention requirements for students as a result of the College of Teachers resolution.

While the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) continues to investigate the situation, school board officials also feel the best way to protect student’s safety is to keep the community informed of news about the investigation.

WHAT TO DO

Parents are encouraged to contact the school principal or secretary at their child’s school to learn more about this investigative work. Parents are advised to keep their children inside their home until the situation has been cleared up and allow them to return to class at the earliest possible time. A school assembly will be held at the respective schools to inform students of the situation.

Parents are asked to follow the school board’s direction. Parents will receive the detailed official notice of the matter at school and at home.
